Alec Wilder (1907-1980), was an American composer whose original style fuses jazz, American song and European classical forms and techniques. His chamber music for brass is inventive, touching, beautifully crafted and thoroughly entertaining! While he didn’t reach the fame and wealth of George Gershwin his musical expression similarly blends popular and classical styles and bridges musical communities.

The Toronto Mozart Players are proud to present these superb brass players from the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in this unique program:

Steven Woomert, trumpet
James Gardiner, trumpet
Audrey Good, horn
Vanessa Fralick, trombone
Mark Tetreault, tuba
Rachael Kerr, piano
