Daevyd Pepper, tenor

Muskoka native, tenor Daevyd Pepper, is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto Opera School directed by Sandra Horst (MMUS), where he was a pupil of Soprano Frédérique Vezina. He also studied at York University (BFA:Voice) where he studied with soprano Norma Burrowes.

Daevyd Pepper is an alumnus of prestigious opera training programs such as: Centre for Opera Studies in Italy and Chautauqua Voice program. His previous opera roles include: Orphée (Orphée aux Enfers), Lenski (Eugene Onegin), Male Chorus (The Rape of Lucretia), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Johnny Inkslinger (Paul Bunyan), Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte), Oronte (Alcina) and Bénédict (cover; Béatrice et Bénédict). In February 2017, Daevyd originated the role of Addison Witless in the world’s first zombie opera, Prima Zomie: The Diva that Just Wouldn’t Stay Dead, composed by UofT Opera’s renowned student composer collective.
