The Mozart Project’s In-School Music Education Program is led by professional educators and features demonstrations and performances by the members of the Toronto Mozart Players. Children and youth are encouraged to create and participate in activities designed to complement school curriculum. Educational modules appropriate to age and musical experience are part of a pedagogical guide developed to maximize the positive impact of exposure to professional music performance. The program is highly subsidized to ensure inclusiveness and equal access regardless of socioeconomic barriers, and is offered for free to public schools. The need for such programs is underscored by the lack of music programs and music teachers in public schools.
