The Toronto Mozart Violin Competition provides expert instruction and performance opportunities for emerging trained violinists aged 18-30. Participants prepare three Mozart works and perform in Round One of master classes with artistic director David Bowser. Selected participants then perform in Round Two of master classes with violinist Jonathan Crow. The Competition is held on Friday January 10, Saturday January 11 and Sunday January 12, 2020, at Church of the Redeemer and is open to the public. An outstanding participant will be selected to receive a scholarship award of $1000 and perform in concert as soloist in a Mozart sonata and as associate concert master in Mozart’s Requiem with the Toronto Mozart Players and Pax Christi Chamber Choir on Sunday March 29 2020 at 2:00pm.
The Mozart Project gratefully acknowledges the support of the TD Bank Group for their support of the Violin Competition 2019-2020.
